What is it like studying Chemistry at Marlborough?

Hey you lot,

I would love to gather your thoughts about your experiences in Chemistry this year. It will help me to evaluate the course and also provide an opportunity for the new lower sixth to get a real idea about what the Chemistry is like a Marlborough.

oh and sum contrusctive posts,
1) lessons were intresting and was just about the only subject where i could hold my attention for 3 hours :P
2)there was a ideal amount of pratical lessons, spaced evenly through the course. we seemed to cover all the experiments in the syllabus.
3)any problems in the course were easily talked out with Mr eve.
4)no matter what grade i get, this course has been intresting and really worth taking.

Well to say that Im upset that I wont have anymore lessons in chem sums it up basically. I loved it, once I got my head around everything! Wish I was doing chemistry at uni now but at least my course has it in it. Mr Eve is the greatest teacher ever!! The practicals really helped and to be honest this blog thing is fab and we could have done with it earlier!! -Really good idea.

Chemistry is definatley the hardest subject i have studied this year but (excluding art, sorry sir!) it has also been the most enjoyable subject!
The practicals have been a lot of fun and the films made from them are pretty funky dory!
Mr Eve is also a fantastic teacher and i say to anyone in year 11 thinking of taking chemistry next year that i deffinatley recommend it! :D

Chemistry being one of the hardest subjects, i think it is one of the easist to understand, due to mr.eve teaching it and the atmosphere wen doing things like practicals!! again i would recommend the upcomming years to take it as an AS!!!

There was a good mix of practical and theory and the teaching was great throughout, as it was at Francis Bacon (being the last group to share, if it ever returns to this, dont worry). The whole group has managed to excel with great grades because of the teaching and work ethic put forward which is great for future prospects; especally when chemistry is rated as one of the hardest subjects - unis love it! Besides the teaching the other source of success is my 'Bible' the cgp revision guides for chemistry! (well worth getting)
sign off with a THANK YOU to Mr.Eve for al his work through the last two years!
